Part of the G-Cloud procurement framework, Vodafone Offensive Security Testing scrutinises your organisation’s IT security with a series of exhaustive tests. These are designed to uncover security holes and vulnerabilities in critical applications that could leave you open to cyberattacks. Performed and analysed by security veterans with expertise in hacking techniques, these tests will confirm which applications are currently secure from attack and recommend remedial action for insecure systems.

Penetration testing

The service comes as a suite of security testing solutions, available in two forms: Application Penetration Testing and Dev Sec Ops. Both are performed by experienced security experts.

Application Penetration Testing focuses on testing the technical security of specific applications within your organisation, with a security expert simulating a real-world attack against both public and authenticated areas of the target application. Three levels of tests are available: Entry-level, Standard and Advanced. The higher the level, the more complex the scanning techniques used to expose vulnerabilities.

Dev Sec Ops test

The Dev Sec Ops test provides for up to 50 dynamic application scans, using an automated suite of tools to uncover potential security weaknesses. Common vulnerabilities tested include SQL injections, cross-site scripting, unpatched software and weak transport encryption. All scan results are reviewed by a human analyst.

Both sets of tests produce reports that list all test findings and provide an explanation of risks and recommendations for eliminating threats.
