We know that the mechanisms behind the Public Sector Framework Agreements can sometimes be confusing, so we’ve compiled a brief list of questions and answers for some of the questions we are regularly asked.

You’ll find a description of some of the ways to procure product and services under Network Services and G-Cloud 9 – the most commonly used frameworks for our public sector customers. How do I Direct Award on Network Services?

There are 3 methods available when buying from Network Services (RM1045): (1) Direct Award; (2) Short Form Further Competition; and (3) General Further Competition.


With a Direct Award, you can easily procure products and services without the need to run a further competition when there is a valid Standard Service Offering (SSO) published on the Government eMarketplace. If your requirements meet the scope of the services and products provided under a relevant SSO, you can procure using the Direct Award process. The first step is to contact your account manager who will help you to fill out the Direct Award Order Form.

How do I Direct Award on G-Cloud?

42 of our standard products are available under G-Cloud 9 on the Digital Marketplace.


Once you have reviewed and verified that the service available on the Digital Marketplace matches your requirements, you can proceed with procurement by contacting your account manager who will help you with the Call Off Contract process.
